The Miranda G is a 35mm SLR camera made by the Miranda Camera Co. in Japan during the 1960s. It is a pretty fully-featured camera that includes mirror lock-up, self-timer, interchangeable prisms and focusing screens, and focal plane shutter with a top speed of 1/1000th. The Miranda G has interchangeable lens capability using the Miranda bayonet lens mount. Curiously enough the Miranda G has a second threaded lens mount inside the bayonet mount for M44 lenses.
The Miranda G does not have a built-in light meter, relying on a meter finder to be attached to the top of the camera.
This Miranda G is being sold As Is, with No Warranty. The shutter fires fine at top speeds of 1/125th and higher but the mirror return mechanism hangs up on slower speeds causing the loss of a frame. The slow shutter speeds are also very sluggish. While you could use this camera in a limited capacity as it is, this Miranda G is better suited as a project for someone who wants to take it apart and give it a good cleaning.
This Miranda G comes with a Soligor 35mm f2.8 Wide-Auto lens and the bottom half of its Ever-Ready case.
